'Chor Ke Ghar Chor' deals with a chain of thefts and counter thefts revolving around a very ancient and costly idol which is supposed to bring luck to its owner. But no single thief is able to retain this valuable possession for a long time and it keeps on changing for a long time and it keeps on changing hands so much so that this bizzare hunt lands two stately families into tragic disintegration. As also is the lucky idol lost from the sight of all human beings for one full generation.
After a lapse of 12 years the same mysterious idol once again erupts like a volcano, to the human knowledge-this time bringing together the scattered pieces of the jigsaw of the struck families.
'Chor Ke Ghar Chor' is the story of Ashok Kumar-a mad man who happens to be an eye witness of the current theft. It is the story of Pran-a rugged gangster who is in search of the murderer of his brother. After years he gets his clue from the mad man Ashok Kumar and plans his escape from the asylum in order to reach the killer. Who knew that this hunt would lead Ashok Kumar also to his own long lost daughter?
It is the story of Zeenat Aman-a course and spicy girl who holds 'Majma' at different locales of Bombay with her cow who nods yes or no to the queries of the people. Who knew that these casual predictions of Maina - Zeenat Aman, would land her in the crime world.
It is also the story of Randhir Kapoor-a small time sculptor-who happens to baffle the thieves of the world by making a replica of the "Lucky Idol".
And finally 'Chor Ke Ghar Chor' involves Deven Verma in a series of hilarious events in a double role- one of an innocent Sethji Parveen Bhai and the other of his elder brother Jackson who has returned from U.S.A. in search of the same idol and especially after taking the training from James Bond.
In short 'Chor Ke Ghar Chor' is the story of a number of miscellaneous thieves on the run, passing through intriguing situations of crime and suspense, mystery and thrills, shocks and sentiments, fun and frolicks.
